Busy coffee shop. Variety of baked goods. Arrived close to closing time. Staff were sweet and generous. Told us they would be closing in a few minutes and suggested to us that we could go across the street to the coffee shop in the new William's College bookshop (which is a Tunnel Cafe too.). The bookshop cafe is very modern, chock full of books, and open until 9 p.m.
Stopped by on the way back from a hike. Very polite staff and hardly a wait. We had cold drinks (chai tea and a coffee frap) both very good. They also have nice baked goods.
Their mocha is even better than Boulder. They roast their own chocolate. Also the baristas are savvy and communicative
The coffe is very very good, and the staff is quite nice. Clean, lots of seats, great atmosphere.
While Tunnel City can be quite busy due to Williams College business the food and drink offerings are consistently provided. Sometimes you will not find seating inside, especially when school is on session, but Spring St is great for a walk and if the weather provides there are plenty of available seats outside.
